Explore the beauty of the Southwest at the Circle Z, Arizona’s oldest continuously-operating guest ranch. We welcome guests to the traditions and beauty of our historic property. We create unique, all-inclusive ranch vacations for guests of all ages and horseback riding abilities. Nestled in the heart of Southern Arizona’s Patagonia Mountains at 4,000 feet, we have sun-warmed days and cool, clear nights.
The ranch has thousands of acres of the most scenic horseback riding trails in Arizona, and has been the setting for many Western movies. Expert wranglers match riders to one of our ranch-raised horses to suit their ability, which will be yours to ride for the duration of your stay. Whether you’re an expert horseman or have only been on a pony at the county fair, we’ve got the right horse for you!
With only 40 guests, you’ll experience personalized service in the wide-open spaces. Accommodations include a double room with private bath, located in our historic adobe lodgings updated with modern amenities such as hairdryer and mini-fridge in every room. Freshly-prepared buffet-style meals are served in our main lodge building; lunches are often a barbecue or picnic set up by our staff out on the trail.
Circle Z is located just outside the historic village of Patagonia, about 70 miles southeast of Tucson, AZ. Guests like to visit the funky shops and galleries, explore the nearby ghost towns and wineries, and enjoy the magnificent scenery. Come to the Circle Z and experience old-fashioned southwestern hospitality!
